WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Camp Speakers

Geoff Westlake
As an ordained minister with the Baptist Churches of WA, serving as a para-church evangelist since 1997, Geoff engages teenagers as adults. With his family he leads Cheers Neighbours’ Network in an outer-suburban neighbourhood, to bless and benefit Banksia Grove and beyond. As one of our camp Directors, Geoff coordinates the curriculum & camp speakers.

James Parker
British-born James Parker lives in Western Australia. As an abuse survivor and former gay rights activist, he is passionate about the godly restoration of men and women. He now facilitates True Identity, an informal network that supports those struggling with sexuality & gender identity issues. He has taught extensively on same-sex attraction and sexual addiction and has run programmes and seminars across Europe

Kevin Vigus
Was a youth pastor for 15 years in Qld & WA … and then went to Israel! "Now I serve full time building bridges in the Jewish community and also teaching in churches of the culture of Israel - which is the context of the Bible! I have gone to Israel 5 times so far (mostly taking volunteers to serve alongside Jewish people), love learning Hebrew and spend a lot of time playing & performing Israeli music on flutes."

Trinity Westlake
Trinity has been a leader on WVA camp every year since it began. She has completed her Bachelor of Theology & Philosophy, and a Masters of Teaching. She is a writer for Canberra Declaration, and writes for her personal blog 'The Walk'. 'I love learning, but more than that, I love sharing what I've learnt with others'. It is her hope that people not only find enjoyment in reading her work, but are also encouraged to think deeply as they go walking about their everyday lives.

Jordan Gommer
Jordan’s interest in worldviews started from a young age, and eventually led to degrees in history, political science, and theology. He enjoys thinking, speaking and writing about these topics and how they interact so that others can learn them as well, and some of his writings can be found at his website, The Political Spectrum. Jordan is also a licenced preacher within the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia.
