About Darren & Kathryn

Darren and Kathryn are dedicated Christian parents with over 33 years of marriage and a passion for nurturing families. Together, they have raised seven children, drawing on their rich experiences to create a supportive environment grounded in biblical values.

 

With extensive backgrounds in church ministry, they have served as children's and youth pastors, as well as a primary and high school chaplain. Their commitment to guiding young hearts has led them to lead numerous camps and children’s programs, where they instill faith and character in the next generation.

 

As founders of the Families on Firm Foundations, Darren and Kathryn combine their practical insights and spiritual wisdom to empower parents in their journey. They believe in the importance of strong family foundations and are excited to share their knowledge with others.​

Biblical Parenting

Darren and Kathryn can teach various seminars developed to equip parents with the tools to raise their children on solid biblical foundations.


Babywise – 0-12mths. Sleep, feeding, routine, transitions, growing.
Terrific Toddlers – 1-3yrs – Daytime schedule, parenting in the funnel, boundaries.
Calm Kids – 4-11yrs - Character, correction and confidence.


Drawing on 30 years of experience and the joys of raising seven kids, we’ve developed essential practical strategies and meaningful guidance to nurture your children's faith, character, and resilience. Empower your family to create a loving, faith-centered environment where your kids can truly thrive.
​Will do Family Camps, seminars, courses at your church/school, one on one counselling and training, tailored for your needs. We will follow with you one on one through the early stages to give your family the best start.

 

Darren & Kathryn have used Character Resources to teach their children in developing character. Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is required to develop good character. You can access these resources for free.
