Worldview Australia has a code of conduct for working with children, as set out below. We expect all adults in involvement with Worldview Australia to understand this Code of Conduct, and put it into practice.
All team members on our youth camps are equipped with a Leaders Playbook. This book clearly outlines how they are to act with children, and how they are to lead them and protect their wellbeing. Our team members are responsible for the physical and spiritual wellbeing of our event participants. Their priorities are to be God first, participants second, themselves third.

Breaches of the Code of Conduct will be reported as soon as possible to our directors. Breaches will be taken seriously and dealt with quickly and transparently. Any team member who breaches the Code of Conduct will face disciplinary action depending on the severity of the breach.

Caring for children brings additional responsibilities for all adults. All our team members are responsible for protecting the wellbeing of children by:
- Sticking to the organisations child protection policy at all times and taking all reasonable steps to ensure the protection and safety of children.
- Treating everyone including those of different race, ethnicity, gender, age, social class, physical ability and religious beliefs with respect and honesty.
- Being a positive role model to children in all conduct with them.
- Setting clear boundaries about appropriate behaviour between yourself and children.
- Listening and responding appropriately to views and concerns of children.
- Being alert to bullying behaviours and responding promptly and appropriately.
- Ensuring another adult is always present or in sight when conducting one to one consulting, coaching, instruction or other activity.
- Being alert to children who have been harmed, or may be at risk of harm.
Team Members must not:
- Engage in rough physical games with children.
- Develop any 'special' relationships with children that could be seen as favouritism.
- Do things of a personal nature that a child can do for themselves such as toileting or changing clothes.
- Discriminate against any child because of age, gender, cultural background, religion, etc.

Team members are expected to behave as follows:
With yourself:
- have a regular quiet time
- attend pre-camp training day
- join in Bible studies
- contribute to all leaders meetings
- join in all assigned camp activities
- be accountable to camp policies, each other and those in authority
- mobile phones for camp communications only. Personal use can be done only in private.
- adhere to the dress code standards on camp
- model Christ-like character
- love each student by building relationships, mentoring, encouraging, and serving
- lead small group discussions in order to help students understand the lectures at an age-appropriate level
- encourage them to join in camp activities
- take responsibility for their safety
- be available and relatable
- be on top of your time management - being on time to lectures is your responsibility
- attend classes as assigned
- lead and participate in athletic activities
- be responsible for your role/activity on camp
- participate in leadership training prior to camp
- take responsibility for the condition of the equipment and facilities you are using
