Character   resources

Good character is not formed in a week or a month. It is created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is required to develop good character.

The Australian Character Resource booklets closely dovetail the Character First Education material which can be found at https://characterlibraries.com/
The Australian material was developed to be of the same content but has Australian Animals and Australian people in history, so giving Australian children a more relevant learning experience when studying Character Qualities.
All Character Qualities are worth studying, but families and younger children can benefit from the most basic and necessary qualities - Attentiveness, Obedience, Self-control, Patience, Gratefulness and Responsibility.  It is helpful to study a character quality for three to four weeks, considering well the I will's, the definition and you could even making a poster out of these concepts to help the family remember the important ideas.
Encouraging children when they put the quality into practice is very valuable in Character development.  For example:  Mummy so appreciates when you obey straight away, it helps get the jobs done so much faster... or ... When you are patient and waiting without complaining, that helps Mummy get the shopping done quickly and is a blessing to others at the shops.

Please feel free to download and print these as you need.  They can be used as part of family devotions, family read alouds, homeschool curriculum or personal character study.
